Young Peacebuilders in Bolivia

Strengthening young’s capacity for spreading awareness and resolve conflicts within their communities in the Altiplano region, Bolivia.

Plan International is working in Altiplano to help young generation to strengthen education access and to be aware on violence circle due to alcoholism and gender norms and beliefs. As well, the NGO intervene in the Sucre region with community volunteers in the field of health care and early childhood.

WHAT WE DID

We have conducted a participatory video workshop in an Altiplano high School to help youngsters beneficiaries and the NGO staff identifying the levers of gender based violence and alcoholism which is a plague in the region. On the other hand, in the Sucre region, we have made portraits of exemplary community volunteers and change makers on gender norms and childhood healthcare such as Sabina, Zulema and Juan to help the organization to straighten and enlighten this crucial and untold community aspect of the program.
