Participatory Visual Methods for Community Health Workers

We are delighted to join the Project InZone – UNIGE as partners and operators together with UNHCR, International Rescue Committee, UNDP and ICRC. This programme is carried out by the University of Geneva which pioneers innovative approaches to Higher Education in Communities affected by Conflict and Humanitarian Crisis.
The ultimate goal is to empower people on the move stranded in transit countries. The program is actually active in three of the biggest refugee camps in the world in Tanzania, Jordan and Niger.

How does Participatory Video and Photovoice can serve community health?
That is what we will address in this project.
We will deliver workshops and remote courses to train Community Health Workers on the use of Participatory Visual Methods in their work. Facilitated by Federico Varrasso, and our Swiss associate in Geneva Sophie Inglin, we will train groups of Community Health Worker in Participatory Video and Photovoice methods and practice.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the great team at InZone in Geneva and its partners, and to meet our first participants in Kakuma !
